Each Bivvy Marker contains a 1.5x6 mm trigalight® located in a solid, clear polycarbonate housing. Simple, reliable, and very effective.

Super Kit markers contain the trigalight® Gaseous Tritium Light Source (GTLS), which provides a reliable, safe, and self-powered source of continuous light.

No battery or ambient light charging is needed during the product's lifespan. The GTLS contains a sealed borosilicate glass capsule containing a small amount of gaseous tritium, which is the power source for the device. Beta particle radiation (i.e., electrons released by gaseous tritium) is used to activate a phosphor coating on the inner surface of the capsule, causing it to glow. They are sealed and have a very low energy level, so there is no external radiation risk.

Each trigalight® light source is manufactured and tested in accordance with British MOD Defense Standard 62/4. The GTLS contains no moving parts, and because the unit is constantly powered, no switch is required. They will remain energized for more than 10 years without maintenance, even after extended periods and complete darkness. Trigalight® devices can be used in any environmental conditions, even underwater and at temperatures from -20 °C to 70 °C.
